EDGEWATER NEIGHBORHOOD

The Edgewater Neighborhood Association was founded in 1979 and has had an active role in keeping the neighborhood strong and vibrant since that time. Neighbors may voluntarily join the Association for a suggested donation of $25 a year per household; Membership not only supports events planned and run by the Association, but also provides funds for plowing snow from Edgewater's alleys.

Members of the Association Board are all neighbors who volunteer to participate and are elected at the December Association Meeting each year. Board members assist with planning and presenting activities, connecting with neighbors, and occasionally representing Edgewater at other community events.

Neighborhood Association meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month at 5:30 pm at the Rockford Country Club (2500 Oxford Street). All neighbors are welcome to attend. Light dinner is served and donations are accepted to offset the expense. The meetings offer time for neighbors to ask questions and discuss neighborhood issues, hear a report from our Community Services Officer, and periodically hear from guest speakers.
