100 years ago Edgewater was annexed into the City of Rockford. We are proud to be one of Rockford’s oldest neighborhoods.
To kick off National Night Out, Mayor Morrissey and Aldermen will commemorate Edgewater’s 100-year anniversary with a special Proclamation at the beginning of City Council meeting.
We love where we live and are grateful that the Mayor and City Council see fit to recognize our anniversary.
All are welcome in Council Chambers for this event!! Let’s show up in force to represent the Neighborhood we love!
National Night Out
National Night Out

Oxford Park
The Rockford Police Department, in conjunction with the Park District and political leaders, will host a night out in Oxford Park for the entire Rockford Area!
To celebrate the spirit of Police and Community Partnerships throughout the Rockford Area, leaders will be there to hear your concerns in a fun way.
Inflatable thingies will be there for the kids. A dunk tank too. Also equipment from the Police Bomb squad and a demonstration by the Canine patrol.
